The Memorial Day 2018 cemetery service was held at the Olive Township Cemetery as it has for the past 140 years. The Olive Township Museum Exhibit “Women at War” had a real life Rosie the Riveter, Sylvia Tanis on hand to share her story about working on airplanes at the Ford River Rouge plant in 1942. The museum and the Ottawa School House are open every Memorial Day from 11:00 – 2:00 with new exhibits. It is free to the public. The museum is located at 11768 Polk St. Holland and the Ottawa school address is 11611 Stanton St. West Olive.
