Michigan law requires townships to have a Construction Board of Appeals. If the township refuses to grant an application for a building permit, the applicant may appeal the decision to the CBA. The three members of the CBA are appointed by the Supervisor with Township Board approval and serve 2-year terms.

Meetings are held on an “as needed” basis, when an appeal has been filed.
