- Historic Schoolhouses
Grab your family and friends for a Sunday afternoon ride and explore six one and two room schoolhouses throughout Ottawa County. Schoolhouses will be open for touring from 11:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday, June 8th. The tickets/map/brochure for this FREE event may be picked up at any of the schoolhouses on the day of the tour. Donations accepted at each location are greatly appreciated and will be used for the support of these local historic sites.
One and two room schoolhouses include:
- the 1881 New Groningen Schoolhouse, at 10587 Paw Paw Dr. in Zeeland (wheelchair accessible)
- the Ottawa School located at 11611 Stanton Street, West Olive
- the Olive Center School located at 11768 Polk Street in Holland (wheelchair accessible)
- the Pigeon Creek School located at 16788 Pierce Street, West Olive (Wheelchair accessible)
- the DeWitt School located at 17710 West Taft Street, Spring Lake
- and the South Evergreen School located at 8780 Leonard Road in Coopersville (wheelchair accessible)
